Fashion: Tricksy Pants

Ladies, if you deal with dramatic weight fluctuations or have an ostomy bag, here’s something useful for you!

I love sweatpants, but sometimes I don’t want to look like I just rolled out of bed. I have pants sizes 0-8, some of which only fit me in a very narrow weight range. Others, however, are more flexible and look better for a wider variety of sizes. We’ll call these tricksy pants, because they look like ordinary pants, but they’re secretly much more accommodating and comfortable. I have lots of them that I hope to post eventually on my Apparel and Accessories page, but here is my first example from Jolt Jeans.

I bet you can’t spot my ostomy bag in the above photo!

Okay, now for the reveal of my tricksiness:

That navy material is soft, stretchy, and delightfully cozy. It can also be rolled down and hidden under tops easily. These are some of my most versatile pants. When my mom found them for me I was much tinier, but they still work. Weight fluctuations can be emotionally difficult, but it helps to have a few things that help us look our best.

  1. Great idea! Where do you find those?? Im finding that my weight is up and down and some days nothing fits….Im in between all the pants/skirts sizes I own. lol I say lol, but its a pain in the ***!!!
Im new at this wordpress blogging….would luv to know more about it if you have a couple minutes. : )

    Thanks.

    • I know it’s a pain to find clothes! Do a google search for Jolt jeans, because they are sold at a few different department stores. I’ve found some great dresses and skirts at Target, too. I’d be happy to talk with you about blogging. Feel free to email me (partiallyunstuffed@gmail.com) so we can schedule a time to chat.

  2. You are beautiful!! :) Your pants certainly are tricksy!! :) Love it and thanks for sharing. ;) – m

  3. I love this idea, and I have since before any of my health issues. I wish comfort, convenience and fashion were an easier combination to find (oh, let’s not forget affordability). Thanks for passing this along!

  4. do they make your butt smaller so that the jeans still fit?! :)

  5. These look super comfortable, I have some leggings that are similar but have never been able to find jeans that quite do the same job. I was thinking of getting my friend who’s a seamstress to amend some of my current ones to make them “tricksy”, lol!
