Some Awesome Invisible Illness Activists

Here are a few posts from various bloggers living with invisible illness. I hope you enjoy these as much as I have.

Run Stronger Every Day: Abby’s response to the “30 Things” prompt on the Invisible Illness Week website.

Forward is a Pace: In “I’m Grateful for my Invisible Illness,” Lauren shares great insight on this week, and I wholeheartedly agree with her points. Like her, sometimes I’m glad I have the privilege of hiding my disease.

Inflamed and Untamed: “The hardest thing about living with living with an invisible illness according to you.” Sara gathered readers’ responses to the question “What has been the hardest part about living with an invisible illness (Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis)?” The quotes listed here touch on common frustrations.

Inflamed and Untamed: “Who am I now? After being diagnosed.” This post gave me a lot to think about, and I want to take Sara up on her challenge at some point. After sharing her response to the title question, she prompts readers to do the same. Her realistic optimism almost made me cry. Go read this.

Inflamed and Untamed: So apparently Sara is my favorite this week. Here’s a unique entry for you: Three Bloggers, Three Topics, One Focus: Invisible Illness Week and Suicide Prevention Week.

Diary of a Sick Girl: Kelly has posted a few fabulous (as always) videos celebrating this week. 1) “But You Don’t Look Sick!” 2) Dating with a Chronic Illness, 3) Feeling of Guilt and Laziness-Chronic Illness

Now I have a favor to ask. If anyone has seen any other Invisible Illness Week goodies, please email me (partiallyunstuffed@gmail.com) so I can add them to the list! Thanks, friends.
